Summary:

As an Account Executive, it is your responsibility to generate revenue and manage a group of clients. Clients will range both local businesses and campus organizations that you create a professional relationship with that is both beneficial to the client and WHBC. As an account executive you are a representation of the sales department and WHBC as a whole and therefore should conduct yourself in such manner.

Job Responsibilities:

Staying in continuous contact with clients and always representing WHBC in a professional manner. An account executive also must be fully knowledge about all of the non-traditional and traditional advertising available at WHBC. An Account executive must have the ability to strategize and do what is necessary to effectively and efficiently make the sale. As an account executive it is important to also follow the Selling Cycle when making a sale whether it is for a campus organization or local business. The account executive is also solely responsible for creating the script of commercials that Also, when making sales account executives must also be polished and professional when dealing with clients. During business meeting sales representatives should be in full business attire and should follow all proper business protocol.

  7. Determination:  Clearly understanding the tasks and responsibilities of an account executive and having the mind set to be the best account executive by working hard and focusing on the task at hand.

Qualifications:

  • Full-time validated Howard University student in good academic standing
  • The ideal candidate would be a results-driven team player with a positive attitude
  • Must have excellent communication/listening skills with the motivation enough to motivate street team and others involved with the promotion of the station.
