The Web Content Department is a newly defined department and position which encompasses both management and administrative ability. This department is responsible for the maintenance of the WHBC website, social networking sites, and channel 51 slide show to make sure that the content is accurately presented to the market.

Web Content Director: Devyn Rorie
Devyn Rorie is junior Public Relations major from Maryland. She hopes to use her passions for music, writing, and multimedia to make an impact in the entertainment industry. Devyn began her journey with WHBC as a freshman, volunteering for the Promotions and Web departments. WHBC has played a pivotal role in her Howard experience, as it has given her exposure to the digital realm of radio, whether that’s writing articles, editing videos, or using social media to promote events. This year, as the Web Manager Devyn hopes to use the virtual presence of the station to re-spark the interest of students. Assistant Web Content Director: Savannah Miller
Savannah Leigh Miller is a sophomore, Broadcast Journalism major from Plainfield, New Jersey. Savannah began to make a name for herself on campus after serving as the Fresh U: Howard Multimedia Manager, and starting her own YouTube channel, SavannahLeighTV. Videos on both channels have reached thousands of views and have caught the attention of many organizations and individuals on campus. WHBC was one of the very first organizations Savannah joined, starting with the Promotions Team and the Web Team. After a year of dedication, Savannah now serves as the 2016-2017 Assistant Web Manager for the WHBC Web Department. She currently holds a 3.88 GPA, maintaining her not only enrollment within the School of Communications’ Annenberg Honors Program, but also her position as the Vice President of the program. This past summer, Savannah was accepted into the Emma Bowen Foundation, where her corporate sponsor is Fox TV Stations. She spent this summer interning with Fox Stations Sales, and looks forward to working more closely with Good Day New York and Fox’s digital team in the future. In addition to WHBC, Savannah also serves as the Historian for the New Jersey Club, the Co-Chair of HBCU on Tour (a mentorship initiative started by the New Jersey Club), and a producer for an talkshow on Glasshouse Radio. In all of Savannah’s positions, she makes it a point to integrate her passion for journalism. She is a strong believer in the power of multimedia, and has created numerous promotional videos and websites to help these organizations better brand themselves and reach the largest audience possible.
