Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at a motel in Memphis, Tennessee. Many gathered yesterday at his memorial in Washington, DC to pay their respects and honor the leader of the Civil Rights Movement.

At the memorial several programs took place, including the laying of a wreath, the reciting of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s infamous “I have a Dream” speech followed by several guest speakers. People of all ages joined the crowd of admiration and reflected on the works of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
