Cardi B has made it clear she has no intention of rekindling a friendship with Offset, saying bluntly, “I tried. Next question.”
Offset, on the other hand, shared his perspective through his single Move On, describing the track as a message of peace and closure. “It’s about moving on, like, peacefully. It’s all love and peace,” he explained.
He added that the song marks the end of their chapter together: “It’s time to move on, it’s over and done with. It was great while it lasted. That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.”
While closing the door on her past, Cardi is focused on her long-awaited second album, Am I the Drama?. The project comes seven years after her debut, a delay she attributes to being “very picky” and indecisive about finalizing her tracklist. She recorded more than 60 songs before narrowing the album down to 23 tracks.
Cardi explained that rushing wasn’t worth it, since live performances bring in more revenue than album sales. The album will feature fan favorites like WAP and Up, along with fresh material, including Imaginary Playerz, which samples Jay-Z’s classic Imaginary Player.
